Avrenim Developments were commissioned by the Royal Liverpool University NHS Trust to redevelop the existing CSSD car park at Broadgreen Hospital. The car park was in a really poor condition allowing surface water runoff and flooding the adjacent properties.

The car park also made it extremely difficult for the car park management company (SABA) to effectively control and tariff the site, due to very little road markings, barriers etc.

Due to the necessity of keeping the mobile MRT scanner operational which was  within close proximity to our site, we had to utilise our technical experience and ensure any plant used kept within an agreed decibel level

From our initial topographic survey, detailed engineering design to product installation, Avrenim Developments constructed a cost effective extension and refurbishment of the existing area. Ensuring the car park was fit for purpose with correct falls, drainage and kerbing details to manage the water run off.

Working closely with our project team and client we where able to deliver this project on time with little disruption.

Challenge

Construct a carpark that prevented surface run off into adjacent properties all without damaging a mobile MRT scanner that was located within proximity of the works.

Solution

Provided a design that met our clients, stakeholders and surrounding public needs. Preventing future flooding and enabling the carpark management to operate more efficiently.

Results

Through methodical design and careful management, we created a carpark that is now fit for purpose while allowing our client to continue to treat patients with little disruption
