Avrenim hosts fun day for families from local charities
Last week, Avrenim hosted a family fun festival at the Hilton Hotel, bringing together families and children from local charities, Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice and Nugent.
The event was a celebration of community spirit and a demonstration of Avrenim’s commitment to supporting those in need within the Liverpool City Region.
The day was packed with activities, aiming to bring smiles to the faces of children and families, and included dancing, singing, face painting, MMA training, balloon modelling, and a series of fun games. Children had the chance to dance and party in a safe environment, with a surprise guest appearance from Peter Rabbit who brought extra excitement to all the children.
Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice provides respite, end-of-life and palliative care for babies, infants and children with life-limiting conditions and complex needs, and we were honoured to show our support for this incredible cause. Recently, we were honoured to join its ‘150’ group – one in 150 businesses committed to raising at least £1000 in 2024. This initiative is crucial for creating a brighter future for the children and families who rely on the hospice’s friendly expert care.
Nugent has been a cornerstone of support in the North West for over 140 years, providing care and support for some of our most vulnerable members of the community.
We would like to say a special thank you to those who volunteered their time. Author, Jude Lennon performed an engaging reading, educating the children on sustainability, as well as donating a Builder Book pack to each family. This thoughtful addition added an educational and imaginative element to the day, ensuring each family had something to take home, tying into its overall vision of supporting children’s literacy and wellbeing.
At Avrenim, aligning with local charities and community groups is more than just a commitment; it’s a core part of our ethos. The joy and smiles we witnessed during the day reiterate our belief in the power of community and the importance of supporting those who need it most. We are incredibly proud to have played a part in bringing this day to life and look forward to continuing our partnerships with Zoe’s Place and Nugent in the future.
