Maintenance Electrician – Shift
The position will be based in the new Royal Liverpool Hospital
Working hours – Shift rota (4on 4 off)- Full time contract
25 days (Pro rata) holiday + bank holidays and pension
Salary £37k
Job Purpose
With the support of the Supervisors, to ensure the delivery of engineering activity and to undertake
planned, reactive maintenance and small works and projects as directed. Support a multi-disciplined
workforce and resource undertaking work associated with all engineering plant, building fabric and
equipment. Follow Avrenim’s operating policies and procedures guided by building and H & S
regulations ensuring Avrenim deliver a continually improving, customer focused, cost effective,
efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
To be accountable for technical compliance and technical delivery of services which could have
significant, systemic positive or negative impact to Avrenim or its clients. To be capable of working
independently without regular supervision
Duties
• To undertake planned and reactive maintenance and small works as directed
• To be responsible for tools, plant and materials which are used within the scope of the Estates
Department.
• To ensure that safety procedures are observed in the use of Plant Equipment, Materials, working
procedures and ensure that a safe working environment is always maintained in accordance with
Health & Safety regulations.
• To assist with the training of new staff as and directed.
• To work outside his/her trade in the event of any emergency or as directed by the Estates
Officer/Head of Estates/On Call Manager.
• To assist with the ordering of materials for all types of maintenance work.
• Respond to instruction given via the Estates maintenance reporting system to investigate faults
and failures. Complete any paperwork required to record time and materials used. Feedback to
Estates supervision on any further action required for the work to be fully completed.
• To take part in any emergency on-call rota.
• to attend team talks as required
• Any other duties as delegated by the Estates Officer/Head of Estates relevant to the
post/department.
• Taking account of H & S and current legislation undertake fault diagnosis, interprets technical
information, formulates technical solutions to improve equipment performance and to analyse
suitability of equipment together with interpret operational manuals. Planning & Organisational
Skills
• Ensure compliance with all IMS policies and procedures, including sustainability, quality and
diversity.
• Provide an excellent customer experience to clients.
• to work in accordance with work instructions, safe working practices and method statements,
ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner
Essential
Must have driving licence as may be required to work at different sites.
