Timber Sash Window ReplacementDuration
10 Weeks
The Avrenim Team were commissioned by Pears Glove & Brown accountants to understand how we could construct and replace all of their timber sash windows at their premises at Military House 24 Castle Street Chester.
The practice requested new windows which fitted the following specification:
- New traditional windows to match the existing style and be period appropriate;
- The highest possible thermal and acoustic performance;
- The maximum amount of light transmission possible through the glass;
- Bespoke window ironmongery;
- Painted internally to meet the customer’s specific paint colour requirements.
Upon receiving the request for a quotation, one of our qualified Project Managers met with the architect for the project to discuss their requirements and advise how we could help. In total, they required over 20 new sash windows and casement timber windows.
As all of the new windows that we manufacture are bespoke, we were able to ensure that their replacement windows exactly matched the original designs, meaning that they fitted in with the surrounding properties and retained the aesthetic look and feel of the property.
We worked closely with the Client to ensure that the works were carried out in a safe, pragmatic and effective manner with extensive collaboration between all trades. The installation was handed over on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the Client.

Keeping the new windows to match the existing.
